SAN FRANCISCO BEEKEEPERS ASSOCIATION |
The San Francisco Beekeepers Association is the premier organization for beekeepers in our city. We work to promote the welfare of honeybees and other pollinators, as well as those who manage or just help to support them. Among specific activities, SFBA does public outreach on behalf of bees to schools and civic groups, conducts classes to train new beekeepers, collects and relocates swarms that show up in San Francisco, provide low-cost bee-related services to active beekeepers, and promote safe, community-friendly and environmentally sound beekeeping practices. |

Be Swarm ReadyIt's that time of year again, folks! Before you know it, the weather will be warming up and our hives will be ramping up quickly. As an urban beekeeper, it is your responsibility to prevent swarms. Start making plans now, even if you don't think your colonies are strong. Better to be over prepared than caught off-guard. Your neighbors will thank you! |
